To Restore the Voice we first notice, and acknowledge the relationship we have with our voice, and our expression. We begin to undertake an exploration of our unique Sonic Template, to remember our celestial origins and how those celestial frequencies sing in us. We begin to embrace the voice that was encoded in the very first breath we took, to restore a natural affinity with our own sound. We can align to the celestial, to our innate zodiacal frequencies; we are not victims of or slaves to those influences. When we begin to feel more at ease and comfortable with the voice, we can embody and express from our essence with joy and ease.
Part of opening to our own voice is associated with being heard.
- Maybe conversations are cut short, interrupted?
- Your ideas, thoughts and feelings are left unexpressed?
- Have you been told your voice is out of tune?
- Do you have doubts about your own voice and how to express yourself?
- Do you hold fears about being heard?
There are many reasons why the voice has been neglected, put aside, disconnected from our unique inherent expression.
To Exalt the Voice
Many ancient cultures utilised the voice in various ways, such as during ceremonies, the honouring of seasonal changes, in magic and healing. Storytelling, whispered prayers, wisdom shared and passed down through oral traditions. Songs sung in the sheer joy of singing, songs for birth, death, and healing-the voice as Midwife. The voice was revered as a way to connect with the ancestors, as with the ancient bone singers. They listened not just with their ears but with their hearts, they listened to the land, to nature, to the Celestial Voices of the Cosmos. This gave rise to a reciprocity, responding giving and receiving in communion.
The voice was at the centre of daily life, expressing from a place of deep connectivity and resonance. From the formless to form, sound, the voice was acknowledged as a force of creation, revealing the celestial journey of the soul.
In these current times we are experiencing now, I feel there is a profound calling to Exalt the Voice to its rightful place. To embrace our voices individually and collectively, that we may harness the true and beautiful potential of our sonic template.
“Every sacred scripture, holy picture or spoken word, produces the impression of its identity upon the mirror of the soul; but music stands before the soul without producing any impression of this objective world, in either name or form, thus preparing the soul to realize the Infinite”.
